The short version: HalfPint collects only what it needs to work. We don't sell your data, show you ads, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your drinking habits are your business — we just help you understand them.

Who we are

HalfPint is a drinking moderation app built by Grain Studio. Our registered contact is pint@gethalfpint.com.

This policy applies to the HalfPint iOS app and the gethalfpint.com website.

What we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to make HalfPint work:

We don't track you across other apps or websites
We don't collect health or medical data
We don't use your data for advertising

How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to:

Authenticate your account and keep it secure
Calculate and display your savings, life gained, and streak
Send transactional emails (confirmation, password reset, invites)
Personalise Pint's messages based on your progress
Restore your purchases across devices
Improve the app based on how it's used

Who we share data with

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate HalfPint:

We do not sell your data to any third party. Ever.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is deleted from our systems within 30 days.

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing pint@gethalfpint.com.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Export your data in a portable format
Object to certain uses of your data

Children's privacy

HalfPint is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it immediately.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), secure authentication via Supabase, and row-level security on our database.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please contact us at pint@gethalfpint.com.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you via email or an in-app notice. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
